How do you visualize 40 years of economic wisdom in a world running out of time?

The brief

This wasn’t typical client work — it was family. Gregor’s father had spent 40 years developing models for sustainable economic systems, then four years writing 400 pages about growth that works with natural cycles rather than against them. We had to capture both the depth of research and the urgency of implementation.

The symbol

We merged pie chart logic with tree ring patterns, letting dendrochronology meet data visualization. The rings became nature’s own accounting system — economic data structured like natural time, suggesting we can still choose growth that respects cycles rather than demanding endless expansion.

Outcome

The cover functions as a manifesto, making the argument for sustainable economics through visual metaphor alone. Complex theory becomes accessible before readers encounter the text.

Štiri desetletja ekonomske modrine v enem ovitku.
