Both love and design require deep engagement

Love and design require deep engagement — not as a metaphor, but as a working method. We’ve spent twenty years watching clients mistake familiarity for understanding, and it costs them. Deep engagement with a brief is what separates a mark that lasts from one that merely looks correct on the day it’s approved.

Both love and design require deep engagement, intuition, and personal experience to be fully understood. In other words, you need to experience it in order to understand it

Love, like great design, is not just about theory or observation—it’s about feeling, interaction, and growth. Just as you can’t truly understand love without experiencing it, you can’t fully grasp the power of design without using, living with, or creating it.

Design, much like love, is deeply personal yet universal. Good design, like a meaningful relationship, responds to needs, evolves over time, and creates a lasting impact.

1. Branding Must Be Experienced to Be Understood
Branding isn’t just about logos or slogans,..—it’s about how people feel when they interact with a brand. A great brand creates emotional connections, just like love does.

2. Emotional Connection Is Key
Strong brands, like strong relationships, thrive on trust, consistency, and authenticity. People don’t just buy products; they buy into stories, values, and experiences—just as love isn’t just about words but actions and feelings.

3. Branding Evolves Like Love
Love grows and changes over time, adapting to new experiences. Similarly, great brands evolve while staying true to their essence.

4. Good Design Enhances Emotional Impact
Just as thoughtful gestures deepen love, intentional design strengthens branding. Typography, colors, packaging, and user experience all contribute to how people emotionally connect with a brand.

In essence, branding—like love—is not something you can fully grasp from the outside. You must feel, live, and engage with it to truly understand its power.

Trends burn bright, but they burn fast.

Trends burn fast — that's not a warning, it's a design principle we've worked from since 2004. Every identity we've built across 128 projects starts from the same question: what survives the cycle? Trends burn fast, but a mark built on meaning doesn't need a refresh every eighteen months.

Ai killed the lorem ipsum

AI killed lorem ipsum quietly, somewhere between the first GPT prompt and the moment clients started sending actual copy on day one. We noticed it not as a loss but as a correction — design built around real words is harder, more honest, and significantly better. That's the shift AI killed lorem ipsum protecting us from confronting for decades.

How to Rebrand Without Losing Your Audience

Rebranding without losing your audience is less about design decisions and more about sequencing them. Every rebrand we've led starts with the same question: what does your audience actually recognise you by — and is that the thing you're planning to change? Getting that wrong is how you rebrand without losing your audience on paper, but quietly lose them anyway.

A healthy brand

Healthy brand design starts with honesty — not aspiration dressed up as values. We've watched too many briefs arrive wrapped in sustainability language that dissolves the moment you press on the strategy underneath it. A healthy brand isn't greener or louder; it's structurally coherent, and that coherence is what we've been designing for since 2004.

Side projects

Designer side projects are not a break from real work — they are the reason the real work stays sharp. We have run a design studio in Ljubljana since 2004, and the projects that never had a client are often the ones that taught us the most. Side projects are where instinct gets to move faster than process.

Team 2 team

Team to team design is how we've always worked — not because it sounds progressive, but because the other way produces worse outcomes. When your strategist sits across from ours, decisions happen in minutes instead of weeks. That direct team to team design dynamic is what most studios promise and few actually practice.

Pitch

Design pitch process is where most projects are quietly won or lost — long before any visual work begins. We've spent twenty years watching good briefs collapse under vague expectations, misaligned goals, and the false assumption that both sides are speaking the same language. Getting the design pitch process right isn't a formality; it's the actual work.

Work For Free

Designers work for free more often than the industry admits — and we've done it ourselves, deliberately, with criteria. The question isn't whether it devalues your work. The question is whether you set the terms or someone else did. We've spent two decades deciding which projects earn our time without a brief, a budget, or a contract.

Definition of a brand

Definition of a brand is where most projects quietly fail — not in execution, but in understanding. A brand is not a logo, not a palette, not a tagline. It is the gap between what a company says it…

We use craft in every project. Not as decoration. Not as nostalgia. As a way of thinking.

Craft in design thinking is how we structure every decision we make — not what it looks like at the end, but how the problem gets interrogated from the start. We've been working this way since 2004.…

What Does a Branding Agency Actually Do?

What does a branding agency do — and what separates the ones worth hiring from the ones who just make things look nice? We've been answering that question through work since 2004. What does a…
