What are you buying with a designer?
Every designer has a special superpower: a feeling. Our feeling about branding and visual direction and the only way to get it is through experience.
Every designer possesses a unique superpower—an intuitive sense of visual direction. This isn’t something that can be taught; it’s cultivated through years of hands-on experience, crafting designs, making mistakes, and learning from them. It’s a blend of intuition and ethical standards that enables a designer to see what a brand is and feel what it can become.
Personal values and moral principles guide us to judge what is right and what should not be done. In the process, we craft products and services guided by our moral compass, and it usually gets really personal. When all are aligned correctly, we know the final creation reflects our values.
My instinct is one of the most powerful abilities that I have developed as a designer. I can perceive it clearly, but ultimately, the choice comes down to my feelings—nothing more and nothing less.

Ai killed the lorem ipsum
AI generated content design has fundamentally shifted how we approach dummy text in layouts. The rise of algorithm-created content forces designers to reconsider whether ai generated content design represents creative evolution or the end of originality in our field.
How to use AI without losing your soul
AI becomes dangerous the moment it becomes your first step instead of your second. If you start with AI, you skip your brain—the one trained to think, struggle, and solve. And that’s the part that actually makes something yours. Because AI is trained on everything, it drifts toward the average. Feed it noise, and it gives you polished bullshit back.
Team 2 team
Team to team design collaboration is fundamentally changing how creative studios work with clients. This shift from B2B to H2H to T2T represents more than terminology—it's about recognizing that great design emerges from collective effort rather than individual brilliance.
Do What You Don’t Know
Creative risk taking in design is what separates true creators from skilled repeaters. Experience teaches us efficiency, but creative risk taking in design demands we abandon what we know and venture into uncomfortable territory where genuine innovation lives.
There Is Only One Right Way to Publicly Commission Design
Design commissioning process in public sector often fails both clients and creative professionals. Most procurement methods undervalue design work and create unfair competition, but there's a transparent approach that design commissioning process should follow to ensure quality outcomes and professional respect.
The Gap
Midva represents the critical middle layer that's vanishing from design studios across Slovenia and beyond. The gap between junior and senior designers has become a chasm, leaving no space for proper mentorship and craft development. This midva phenomenon threatens the very foundation of how design knowledge transfers between generations.
We use craft in every project. Not as decoration. Not as nostalgia. As a way of thinking.
Real design happens in the messy hours before answers emerge—where ideas stop being clever and start becoming honest through actual making.
