The Currency of Respect

October 24, 20251 Minutes

I love getting paid on the same day as I send the invoice.

Why?
Because that’s the highest form of respect. Payment isn’t just money—it’s trust, professionalism, and acknowledgment of effort.

But let’s be real: in the creative world, payment schedules often speak louder than words. When there’s a mess like delayed or missing payments, I just say goodbye. Because if it happens once—it will happen again.

I talk openly about money because I know my value. I name it, I stand by it, and I give my best on every project. That’s the deal: I deliver, you respect.

I learned this from one of my most respectful clients — Kocbek. They showed me that real professionalism isn’t just about beautiful work—it’s about honoring agreements, acknowledging effort, and paying on time.

So yes, I love getting paid. Not because I’m greedy, but because it tells me:
You noticed. You appreciate. You respect.
