The mediocracy of number 7
Do a little trick: ask all LLMs for a number between 1 and 10. They will all said 7. Different models. Different companies. Same answer.
AI is brilliant when things are defined. Give it rules, data, and a problem with clear boundaries (really really long prompt), and it can do things.
But when it comes to creativity/design/ideas, things get interesting. Or rather, they burn down.
AI gives you an answer that looks good, sounds right, and feels original. You might even love it. Until you realize that thousands of other people are getting pretty much the same thing.
Not 2, not 5, but 7.
Maybe this is what happens when it is trained to please us. It learns what works, what people like, and what a good answer should look like. Then it gives us more of the same—everywhere.
We wanted artificial intelligence to think. Instead, it learned how to trick us in liking it.
AI is really good at fixing the answer. Creativity is about finding an answer nobody else thought of.

Black and white
Black and white design is where we start every project — not as a stylistic preference, but as a structural test. If a mark, layout, or identity doesn't hold in two tones, it won't survive color, scale, or time. Black and white design is the first filter, and for us, it's often the only one that matters.
How to Rebrand Without Losing Your Audience
Rebranding without losing your audience is less about design decisions and more about sequencing them. Every rebrand we've led starts with the same question: what does your audience actually recognise you by — and is that the thing you're planning to change? Getting that wrong is how you rebrand without losing your audience on paper, but quietly lose them anyway.
Why so serious?
We ditched the books, picked up a pen, and let strange creatures appear. Turns out that's not a detour — it's how branding actually starts.
Ai killed the lorem ipsum
AI killed lorem ipsum quietly, somewhere between the first GPT prompt and the moment clients started sending actual copy on day one. We noticed it not as a loss but as a correction — design built around real words is harder, more honest, and significantly better. That's the shift AI killed lorem ipsum protecting us from confronting for decades.
Ljubljana to do
Ljubljana to-do lists are usually the same – the castle, the market, Plečnik. We have been designing in this city since 2004 and we see it differently: through the facades, the typography on the windows, the details that the tourist guide doesn't mention. This guide is Ljubljana to-do for those who observe.
Art is Provocation: Raising Questions, without Giving Answers
Art is provocation — and that alone makes it fundamentally different from design. Where design resolves, art destabilises. We've spent two decades navigating that tension, and art is provocation precisely because it refuses the comfort of conclusions.
If You Were Ever a Developer, This Is Your Time to Return
Developers returning to coding right now are walking into something different than what they left. The tools got faster, the frameworks multiplied, and somewhere in that churn the advantage quietly moved — away from raw output, toward judgment. If you built things before and stopped, developers returning to coding after a break carry something the continuous practitioners often don't: distance, and the clarity that comes with it.
Time
Time in design is the one resource studios consistently undervalue, including us. We've spent twenty years learning that the pressure to compress it rarely produces better work — it produces faster work, which is a different thing entirely. Time in design shapes every decision, from the first sketch to the final output.
