How do you design a wine bottle worthy of your best vintage ever?

Wine bottle design Ljubljana becomes deeply personal when you discover what you consider the best vintage ever tasted. We approached the G bottle as a mission—creating wine bottle design Ljubljana standards that would honor exceptional wine with exceptional restraint.

Client: Self-initiated project

The brief

A side project with personal stakes. We found ourselves with what we believed was an extraordinary vintage and faced the challenge of creating packaging that wouldn’t compete with the wine itself but would frame it properly.

The mark

We stripped the G to its essential form, making the letter the entire identity rather than decoration. Produced in Portugal, we eliminated everything unnecessary to let the single character carry the full weight of brand communication.

Outcome

A bottle design that honors exceptional wine with exceptional restraint. Sometimes the best design is knowing when to step back.

A wine bottle that earns its place next to exceptional vintage.

The Why was entirely personal: we had what we considered our best vintage ever and needed packaging that wouldn’t fight it for attention. The What became a study in restraint — a single G carrying the entire brand weight without apology or explanation. The How meant stripping away every element that wasn’t essential, leaving only the letter itself as both mark and identity. The Values here are about confidence through reduction and letting quality speak without amplification.

The Design succeeds because the G doesn’t try to communicate wine or luxury or heritage — it just exists as pure form. Produced in Portugal, we eliminated color, eliminated flourishes, eliminated the urge to add. This creates space for the wine to be the primary experience. The Story is that sometimes the best design decision is knowing when to stop designing, when the product itself deserves to be the star and the package should simply step back and hold space for it.

GOOD DESIGN IS FOR GOOD CLIENTS.
