How do you make 500 pages about humanity’s finite future feel approachable?

The challenge

Viktor’s exploration of Earth’s limits as a finite resource demanded visual treatment that wouldn’t scare readers away. Heavy topics covering humanity’s economic and political future needed careful editorial surgery to remain accessible without diluting the urgency.

Our approach

We split the overwhelming content into three separate books, each with handmade covers representing gradual degradation through tactile deterioration. The minimalist typography created breathing space around complex ideas while the physically deteriorating covers reinforced the central message through touch.

Outcome

The trilogy format made philosophical density manageable in digestible portions. Readers could engage with existential topics without intimidation while the tactile covers created visceral connection to the content’s warnings.
