How do you create a visual identity strong enough for electronic music royalty?

Electronic music branding demands visual power that matches legendary sound. We created electronic music branding for Umek that translates sonic authority into immediate recognition across vinyl sleeves and festival LED walls. The geometric identity strips decoration to reveal pure structural power — sonic architecture made visible.

Client: Umek

The brief

Umek is electronic music royalty who conquered global stages through meticulous production and unforgettable sound. We needed a visual system that would command the same respect as his music — something that works equally well on album artwork and massive LED walls.

Our approach

We built a bold, geometric identity using stark contrasts and clean lines that pulse with electronic precision. The mark strips away decoration to reveal pure structural power, translating his sonic intensity into visual form that moves with the same relentless drive as his beats.

Outcome

The identity became as recognizable as the music itself, earning Red Dot recognition. One of the strongest marks in electronic music.

Electronic music royalty demands visual authority that matches sonic power.

The Why behind Umek’s identity is direct: when you’ve conquered global stages through sound, your visual system cannot be an afterthought. The What — a geometric identity system that works from vinyl sleeves to festival LED walls — strips decoration to reveal structural power. The How: stark contrasts, clean lines, geometric precision that translates sonic architecture into immediate visual recognition. The Values are constraint as strength and reduction as amplification.

The Design works because it refuses compromise. Bold geometry commands the same respect as Umek’s meticulous production. Each element earns its place through function, not decoration. The system scales from album artwork to massive screens without losing impact. That Red Dot recognition followed proves the Story — when visual identity matches musical authority, the market responds. This is electronic music branding that operates at the level of the artist: uncompromising, precise, built to last.
