How do you design a book about humanity’s finite future without overwhelming the reader?

Book design Ljubljana projects demand innovative solutions for complex content. Visual Brain Gravity transformed Viktor Žakelj’s dense 500-page manuscript into three accessible volumes, demonstrating our book design Ljubljana expertise through tactile storytelling.

Client: Viktor Žakelj

The challenge.

Viktor Žakelj’s 500-page exploration of Earth as a finite resource needed visual treatment that wouldn’t intimidate readers. The dense content covers economics, politics, and society — heavy topics that required careful handling. The design had to respect the gravity of the subject while remaining approachable.

The solution.

We split the content into three separate books with handmade covers. Each cover represents the gradual degradation of humanity through tactile, physical deterioration. The minimalist approach lets the content breathe while the handcrafted covers create an emotional connection to the message.

Outcome.

The trilogy format made complex ideas accessible while the deteriorating covers reinforced the book’s central message. Readers could engage with the content in manageable portions.
