Both love and design require deep engagement

March 3, 20252 Minutes

Both love and design require deep engagement, intuition, and personal experience to be fully understood. In other words, you need to experience it in order to understand it

Love, like great design, is not just about theory or observation—it’s about feeling, interaction, and growth. Just as you can’t truly understand love without experiencing it, you can’t fully grasp the power of design without using, living with, or creating it.

Design, much like love, is deeply personal yet universal. Good design, like a meaningful relationship, responds to needs, evolves over time, and creates a lasting impact.

1. Branding Must Be Experienced to Be Understood
Branding isn’t just about logos or slogans,..—it’s about how people feel when they interact with a brand. A great brand creates emotional connections, just like love does.

2. Emotional Connection Is Key
Strong brands, like strong relationships, thrive on trust, consistency, and authenticity. People don’t just buy products; they buy into stories, values, and experiences—just as love isn’t just about words but actions and feelings.

3. Branding Evolves Like Love
Love grows and changes over time, adapting to new experiences. Similarly, great brands evolve while staying true to their essence.

4. Good Design Enhances Emotional Impact
Just as thoughtful gestures deepen love, intentional design strengthens branding. Typography, colors, packaging, and user experience all contribute to how people emotionally connect with a brand.

In essence, branding—like love—is not something you can fully grasp from the outside. You must feel, live, and engage with it to truly understand its power.
