Founded by Gregor Žakelj in 2004

The studio was founded in 2004 by Gregor Žakelj in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Since then, we have built brands and worked across a comprehensive range of creative services, but most importantly, we do that with the client, not for the client. All 128 projects you see in our portfolio were created with that collaborative philosophy in mind. It can be the complete identity of your brand that we create from scratch, a compelling website presence, a functional app, distinctive package design, a strategic deviation from conventional advertising, or something entirely new we will discover together through our process. We have received over 80 global and local awards and recognitions for our work, including Red Dot Design Award, European Design Award, Golden Drum, SOF, Brumen, and Volvo Design competitions, validating our approach to considered, direct design solutions.

Behind the Red Door in Ljubljana

We are situated in one of the most beautiful places in the world, called Slovenia. A small country where we have the most beautiful river in the world called Soča, the oldest cultivated grapevines, where locals claim we invented the wheel, with mysterious Postojna caves and their legendary baby dragons, and with a statue of our national poet France Prešeren standing proudly in the center of our capital city. There is something genuinely special about this place, and so are the brands we work for. In case you are wondering about our red branding? Well, we are literally behind the red door in Ljubljana.
