The brief.

Spela Vodovc needed more than a cookbook design. She wanted to present Slovenia’s culinary tradition and her family’s legacy through treasured recipes passed down for generations. The challenge was creating a design that felt both personal and national.

The visual language.

Clean typography paired with warm, earthy tones that reflect Slovenia’s natural landscape. Traditional patterns were simplified into modern geometric elements. Photography showcased both the food and the cultural context behind each recipe.
