Ai killed the lorem ipsum

February 14, 20259 Minutes

When you love Lorem Ipsum, it feels strange to realize that we have reached a point where much of the content we consume is generated. Does this mean we are no longer creating anything new? Is content the first domain where originality is fading?

Lorem Ipsum has been with me since the beginning of my design journey. It is flawless in its simplicity, a text that holds no meaning yet serves an essential purpose. The beauty of dummy text lies in its ability to shape layouts without distracting from design. It allows us to focus on aesthetics, structure, and usability before actual words take over.

In a world where AI-generated content is rapidly becoming the new norm, we must ask ourselves. Are we merely rearranging words, following algorithms, and losing the essence of human creativity? Or is this just another evolution in how we will process and present design?

We cannot ignore the rise of generated content—it is everywhere. Perhaps the real question is not whether we are still creating something new but whether we are just merging already written content.

So I asked AI:

Can you come up with dummy content similar to Lorem ipsum?
“Vexorum lumae flectit orbis, dum nimbus ardens supra montes volitat. Serenis auris cantus perfluit, et umbrae saltant inter lucem et tenebras. Quisquis ventum sequitur, iter ignotum ingreditur, spe et metu commixtis. Magnis inceptis fortuna favet, sed prudentia viam illuminat. Dum tempus fluat instar fluminis, meminisse iuvat somniorum, quia in illis veritas latet.”

Can you translate it?
Of course! Here’s the translation of my original Lorem Ipsum-style text into English:
“The orbit of light bends, while a burning storm hovers above the mountains. A serene breeze carries a song, and shadows dance between light and darkness. Whoever follows the wind steps into the unknown, with hope and fear intertwined. Fortune favors great endeavors, but wisdom lights the way. As time flows like a river, it is good to remember dreams, for in them, truth lies hidden.”

Can you rewrite it in a Shakespearean style:
“Life is a passage full of sway and motion. Trials dost rise, yet steadfast heart doth yield to growth. Might and wisdom lay the stones of triumph, whilst patience tendeth the path anon. In change doth harmony reside, and boldness leadeth forth each step. The world, e’er shifting, brimmeth with fortune for those who seeketh it. In doubt, doth courage brightly gleam, and in wisdom, truth is found. Let will unshaken shape thy fate, and let ambition, like the morning star, illuminate thy way.”

Can you rewrite it in a Murakami style:
**”Life moves forward, swaying between balance and motion, like a train gliding through an endless tunnel. Now and then, obstacles appear. Some small, like pebbles in a shoe. Others vast, like an ocean stretching beyond the horizon. But if you keep walking, something shifts—perseverance quietly folds itself into growth. Strength and wisdom don’t come all at once; they accumulate, like the slow drip of coffee into a cup.

Change happens, whether you notice it or not. And if you lean into it, harmony emerges, like jazz playing softly from a distant radio. Confidence, then, is nothing more than taking a step without knowing exactly where the road leads. The world is always shifting, like a dream you can’t quite grasp. Some people wait for meaning to reveal itself. Others go out and find it.

In uncertainty, courage flickers like a streetlamp on a quiet night. In knowledge, clarity forms, soft but certain, like the first light of morning. Maybe destiny isn’t written in the stars. Maybe it’s something you shape with your own two hands. And maybe, just maybe, ambition is the thing that keeps the wind moving through the trees.”**

Can you make haiku out of it
Step after step forth,
wind bends but does not falter,
growth hides in stillness.

Mountains shift and sway,
patience hums a quiet tune,
time unfolds the path.

Night is full of doors,
some will open, some will fade,
courage turns the key.

Stars do not decide,
hands must shape the waking dream,
dawn will light the way.

Can you write in Trump style:
**”Life, folks—let me tell you, it’s a journey, a beautiful journey. Balance, motion, it’s all huge, really. And yes, challenges—they come up, believe me, but you know what? The best people, they don’t back down. They persevere. They win. And when they do, they grow. Big time.

Strength, wisdom—both critical, very critical, folks. You can’t succeed without them. You build your foundation, and you know what? It’s solid. It’s strong. Patience? So important. Some people don’t get it, but they’ll learn, they always do.

Change—people say it’s hard, but I tell you, the winners adapt. They get it, they understand. Confidence? The best thing to have. If you’ve got confidence, you take that next step. And that next step leads to something great. Opportunities are out there, folks. Big opportunities. But only for the ones who go out and grab them.

Uncertainty? Sure, it’s out there. But you know what shines in uncertainty? Courage. And let me tell you, courage wins. And knowledge, folks—it brings clarity. Clarity brings success. It’s that simple. Determination? It shapes your destiny, trust me. And ambition? That’s the fuel. It lights your way, every time.”**

Can you write in Musk style:
**”Life’s a process. It’s about progress and constant motion. There will always be challenges, but the key is persistence. You push through, you learn, and you grow. It’s how innovation works.

Strength and wisdom are the core. They’re what enable us to build systems that last—whether it’s technology or something more fundamental. Patience is just as crucial, it’s about seeing the long-term vision and not getting distracted by short-term obstacles.

Adaptation is where progress lies. The world is constantly changing, and those who can embrace that change move ahead. Confidence isn’t about arrogance—it’s about understanding the path and taking the right steps, even when the way isn’t entirely clear.

The world is full of possibilities. If you’re looking for opportunities, you’ll find them. They’re everywhere, and they’re often hidden in places most people don’t even think to look.

In uncertain times, the real advantage is clarity, and that comes from courage and knowledge. The more you know, the clearer the picture becomes. Let determination drive you forward, and let ambition fuel your journey. You have to be relentless.”**

Can you come up with dummy content similar to Lorem ipsum that can’t be translated?
“Vorlum vexis drantum silor, epitrum nalaque fentis. Quoram dulcis montivar trepitus, nilmora et vaxum. Strudante pelis, fornix undare latum, quix ferunt zeloris. Mendaro cuspilis tretum, dum nolix varentis falitum. Jorbis etulac primor ventis, soltraque nilpenda ractum. Fexarum dulcet antris volup, quendrum salitor nex.”

So from completely meaningless text to bullshit in seconds…

To all the misfits who jumped to freelancing

We’ve been broke. Burned out. Ghosted. Underpaid. But we still say no to shitty jobs. We’d rather spend endless hours on a good one — a real one — that actually means something to us. Even when it’s hard. Especially when it’s hard. Because we love this shit — and we’re damn good at it.
